TaeKwon-Do Creed
To build ourselves physically and mentally based on the TaeKwon-Do
spirit.
To keep friendship with one another and to be a strong
group.
To never fight to achieve selfish ends.

All students are required to learn, understand and memorize the
TaeKwon-Do student creed (see right). A creed is guide or principle
belief.
Interpretation:
Line 1:
As a martial artist we train our bodies to become strong and equally
important our minds to become confident, strong and wise.
Line 2:
We promote camaraderie and friendship to our fellow students. We can
work together as a strong team to accomplish goals.
Line 3:
We do not use our martial art for foolish reasons. TaeKwon-Do is non
provocative.

Parent TIP
Very young kids can not read and will require your help. Young readers
will need your help sounding out larger words. Learning the creed is a
great real life application of there new reading skills.

TaeKwon-Do Aims to achieve:
Modesty
To not brag, boast or exaggerate. To not say that you are the best.
Perseverance
The ability to keep going despite negative or counter influence.
Self Control
To control ones emotions so they do not interfere with ones goals. To not
get mad or scarred.
Indomitable Spirit
To not allow our spirit (personal drive and energy) to be taken away. To
never quit.
